Ellie Shoes is a family owned and operated company. It was founded in Orange, California by Ellen Renger in 2000. The company started out as a footwear company that specialized in lingerie and bedroom shoes for women. Over the years, as Halloween costumes began getting sexier, the demand for a sexy costume shoe to match the outfit inspired Ellie’s involvement in the Halloween industry. Halloween has opened up new opportunities and has given us a lot of exposure to a whole new community. It was by accident that these two industries collided, and it continues to be a force that grows our business today. However, the DNA of Ellie Shoes is still in the lingerie business.

Today Ellie Shoes is proud to house the following Brands which are specific to our customer base and offer a variety of styles and heel heights:

Shoes Collection:

  • Ellie Shoes – Sexy Collection: Our household brand offers pumps, platforms, sling back, peep-toe, & boots with various heel heights ranging from 3″ to 8″. This line of shoes caters to the boudoir, fetish and sexy communities as well as dancers and performers.
  • Ellie Shoes – Halloween Collection: Our household brand that carries costume specific shoes & boots to pair up with all manufactured Halloween costumes.
  • 1031 by Ellie Shoes: Our household brand that carries costume specific shoes and boots for Men & Kids to pair up with all manufactured Halloween costumes.
  • Penthouse by Ellie Shoes: Line of shoes that reflect the genres of vintage Pin-Up & Rock-A-Billy.
  • Bettie Page by Ellie Shoes: This Collection caters to the lifestyle and inspirations of her iconic presence within the subcultures that follow her today.

This is a first impression. I will update the review as I wear it more it needed.I am size 11 normally, 26.6in-26.8in foot length. I don’t have wide feet. I took size 10 and it fits very JUST, not too tight not too wide. actually some parts around the ankle are a tiny bit loose (granted it is new and it’s hopefully going to enlarge with time). So I’d say if you don’t have wide feet like me, size down. I definitely see how my real size 11 would have been way too big. The shoe is very beautiful. I’m looking forward to style it somehow. Hopefully it lasts!

Really cute, fairly comfortable but sizes run small. Had to go up a full size for comfort.

Got these for a production of Rocky Horror; I’m playing Magenta and wanted the look of a LaDuca without the cost of them. I wore them for my first blocking/dance rehearsal this evening and found them pretty comfortable as far as heels go! I haven’t done a musical in a heel in a while so I took them off after a couple hours on my feet, but honestly, I recovered pretty well and hope they work out! I’m so happy they’re zippered. It allows you to adjust the fit via the laces just once in a while or just as you need to which is cool. The laces feel a bit cheap, and there aren’t metal eyelets in the shoe, so I worry about longevity. But for the price you really can’t beat these. The fit is as expected— I usually wear a 9.5 but have been skewing towards a 10 lately, especially with some swelling in my ankles and instep and my feet widening a little (for reference I got a size 10). I am happy to report that my calves and ankles are NOT too big for these ! I’m a larger person so I am used to being bummed by shoes not making the whole way up my ankle, but this was not the case.I might add an insole at the ball of the foot, however, if you’re in a similar situation as I am, you might actually like the way you can feel the floor through the boot. A lot of street shoes have too much of a sole, so the fact that these are hard-soled but allow you to feel the ground is great. I imagine if I cushioned my feet a bit it might dull that sensation a bit but🤷🏻 we shall see. I will probably recommend these to castmates who are also in the market for a fun boot to dance in!!

These shoes are not flexible at all, but they’re super cute. They’re also a little narrow, but not to the point where I can’t wear them

I like these boots. 💕 They run a tad small- if you’re between sizes, definitely size up. If you have short toes and sturdy ankles/calves, this is the best you can hope for, when it comes to Victorian style boots, short of having a pair custom made. If you have long toes and slim ankles/calves, these boots will not fit you right (or at all- not much room in the toe box). Wear black socks with these, as there is some dye transfer. They are synthetic, but they look and feel like mid-range leather. They have a faint polyurethane scent, but not bad at all. Rounded toe, medium width, comfortable heel height. Best feature is the sculpted “granny heel”, so they look best from the side, rather than from the top. I do recommend them, if your foot and ankle/calf fits the right parameters for this boot.:) Please note they do have a zipper, which is a manner of closure not invented until 1914, and therefore not available to the public until after the Victorian/Edwardian era, but it isn’t easy to notice it under the long skirts of that period style.

Love the style of the shoes they are comfortable when you put them at you can’t keep them on for very long, but it didn’t matter. I love them. I liked how they look. I liked all day they felt when I walk I will buy these again.

Waited and even told the funeral home director that I needed a few more days and this is the mess I receive? Are u … mf kidding me?? So ima burry my gramma in shoes someone else already wore… the point was too burry her in something NEW JUST FOR HER….. what in the world are you guys thinking …..?!

I fell while walking in these booties. I still love them and I am keeping them. I am just going to have to find a way to give my feet more support, such as extra socks and be more careful when stepping down off curbs. I am 57 and my ankles are weak anyway due to health reasons. They look really good with jeans and skirts, whatever you want to wear them with. If you have a slim ankle, they will not hug it. Goes again to support for narrow legged people. I will find cute fill-ins for that area. If you are like me with problem ankles, I would not risk getting these because of the heels on them and lack of support. If your ankles and calves are strong, you will enjoy these boots very much. I also think the boots are good quality. One only had a mild scuff mark from my fall. The boots faired much better than I did. 😂 I recommend these boots for people with medium to wide feet. If you have narrow feet, be prepared to have to fill in the boot to have a more snug fit.It would be nice if this boot came in 1/2 sizes. I went up a size and it was a half size to much.

Great price point for these boots and they look good, comfortable on my foot, I would have to say they are a wider width.. worked perfect for my feet.
